Star Carle was born and raised in Boston, MA. Like her sister, she is a former Boston Public School student and graduated from Framingham State College. She majored in Communications and Minored in Art. Her mother first introduced Star to art at a young age. She has participated in art programs and contests, but has received formal training in College. Star currently draws portraits using a method called stippling, which are dots (yes, the entire portrait is created from dots). She also works on independent sculpture projects.

Washington, who emphasized agricultural and industrial training as the key to success for the African Americans. The cup is a hand holding a piece of wood and the saucer is a leaf. The second cup represents W.E.B. Dubious, who believed that education was the only way to achieve success as an American. The cup is a book and the saucer is a scroll.
